Job Description & Task Profile of Projects Sales Engineer

Designation : Projects Sales Engineer
Department : Projects
Reporting to : Head of Operations

Key Result Areas:
Identification of new clients
Consultant visits
Customer visits
Market analysis
Identify and suggest new and related fields of business
Presentation of the products in conferences, seminars, etc.
Development and growing of long-term relationships with customers
Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts
Support and preparation of quotations
Support of the negotiation process
Coordination of sales projects
After-sales support
Meeting of agreed sales targets
Preparation of Operational Reports for Management Review
Maintain Confidentiality levels of job and the Company

Functional Responsibilities:

Inquiring and responding to project RFQs in a time bound manner
Tracking , follow up and management update of the various stages of negotiations
Ensuring to adhere to parameters and policies set by the company and in force from time to time in respect of marketing , branding and customer selections
Coordinate and manage projects from initial design phase to completion and handover stage in an organized manner
Responsible to analyze , design drawings, review expenditures, preparing reports, evaluating project budget estimates and project cost justification
Perform and review project planning including annual work plan and project summary reports; prepare and review objectives, scope, tasks, schedules, and resources as required.
Perform and review project control including progress, cost forecasting, variances, scheduling, and project closing procedures
Responsible for testing and evaluating equipments, materials, men, services and other resources employed in projects.
Scheduling and coordinating of delivery of equipments, materials and other services.
Responsible for obtaining compliance/certificates from government statutory agencies.
Monitoring and reporting on field work and initiating any required change orders.
Responsible to continually review all aspects of the project operations and propose ideas to management for operational improvements.
Identify critical project issues, appropriately advise staff, recommend solutions, and resolve any hiccups.
Responsible to establish and follow Project HSE Plan & demonstrate a personal commitment to Health & Safety Environment on the site
Attend all project related meetings with clients/consultants and prepare and present reports on project status to the management staff.
Arrange calculations, measurements and obtain approvals of work done at site to enable raising of project-related invoices as scheduled.
