As a Monitoring Systems Senior Escalation Engineer you will help drive, deliver and support our premier solutions and service offerings around complex, enterprise-level hardware and software platforms.

You will be responsible for the staging and the operation of the our monitoring platform operations model within a hosted center and customer premised hardware/software solution platform. Your duties will include the following:

1. Documentation of the configured design for internal and external clients
2. Installation builds and customization
3. Debugging problematic software
4. Own software issues with vendor and support management
5. Assist in creation of toolsets based on customer need
6. Architect solutions for various internal projects
7. Server Staging
8. Daily operations of entire server environment
9. Hardware maintenance

Key skill requirements:
1. 2-3 years of demonstrated experience in Network/Storage/System Administration, including; Experience with installation, service and administration of a medium to large multi-server environments at the enterprise level
2. Minimum 2-3 years supporting and administering network devices and systems including: routers, firewalls, switches, storage arrays, server domains and virtualization technologies. Experience with SNMP monitoring applications: (SolarWinds or ScienceLogic)
3. Knowledge of common network services like DNS, Web Servers (IIS, Apache), FTP Servers, Email Servers, and Database Systems Administration
4. Detailed knowledge and demonstrated experience with Windows Server 2003/2008 logging and reporting concept
5. Demonstrated experience with the Microsoft Windows platform (XP, Vista, Win7, Windows Server (2000 - 2012 etc.)
6. Advanced troubleshooting experience across heterogeneous environments
7. Solid understanding of networking protocols TCP/IP, SMTP, FTP, HTTP, SNMP, Syslog, SSH etc.
8. Strong internal and external customer service skills
9. Strong troubleshooting skills
10. Strong documentation skills
Exceptional candidates will have one or many of the following development skills:

1. Java, C#/VB.NET, Python, Javascript, or PHP scripting
2. Mysql/Mssql (view, trigger, stored procedure, index, schema design and optimization)
3. Frameworks preference: 1) Spring 2) Hibernate 3) Ant/Maven Build
