Retail Shop Manager Roles
a. Overall responsibility for the shops daily operations, budgeting and sales including managing human resources, expenses, inventories, physical presence and security
b. Oversee day to day shop operations
c. Set and execute on strategy to meet and exceed sales targets
d. Plan and prepare budgets in order to achieve financial objectives
e. Manage shop resources
f. Reconcile daily physical cash balances
g. Ensure cash collections by the cashier are correctly deposited to the official company bank accounts
h. Coach and supervise retail staff
i. Ensure full accountability of inventories/ stock and submit regular physical stock verification reports
j. Maintain inventory by identifying merchandise to be procured in a timely manner
k. Establish security systems and a safe shop environment to ensure customer, employee and merchandise safety
l. Manage customer complaints
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
1. At least four years experience in retail business including 2 years as a Retail Shop Manager
2. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Email)
3. Must speak fluent English
4. Should be a male Indian or Filipino
5. Preferable to have experience working with employees of different nationalities
6. Willing to work in Kampala-Uganda
