Responsibilities of the estimator include:
Reading plans and specifications for projects
Attending pre-tender site meetings to verify measurement and assess site conditions
Requesting quotations from subcontractors and material suppliers
Preparing takeoffs and estimates
Preparing and submitting quotations and tenders
Following-up on quotations and tenders
Reviewing all contracts and accepted quotations
Writing up and submitting purchase orders for materials and subcontractors
Staying aware and informed of all new materials or techniques by attending material manufacturer?s seminars, trade shows, etc.Skills/Qualifications required:

Strong computer skills
Experience with CAD and Estimating Software
