Position Summary:
Leads the recruitment and confirmation of clinical placement seats
Creates and maintains positive working relationships with clinical partners
Negotiates with sites and works with Clinical Liaison Officers to identify new placement opportunities for students
Initiates affiliation agreements with new clinical partners
Assigns students to clinical sites through the online clinical placement system
Maintains online clinical placement system and confirms student clearance
Liaises with clinical site coordinators on all issues relating to the placement of Michener students
Attends internal and external meetings relating to placement issues, new site orientation and staff professional development
Position Qualifications:
Post-secondary degree or diploma
Minimum three years? experience working in the health care sector or equivalent
Experience in clinical education or a proven understanding of clinical education
Proven organizational, leadership, and negotiation skills
Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with clinical sites
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
