JOB DESCRIPTION
To design and implement all Aeronautical systems projects at International Airports.
Review design and specifications provided by different airport consultants related to aeronautical systems for development projects and compatibility with international codes and standards.
Develop technical specifications and performance parameters for equipments, infrastructure, hardware, installation methodology, testing and commissioning procedures for projects in coordination with Technical specification Engineer.
Keep check on compliance of equipments and installation with approved technical specification, drawings, International Standards, Codes of practice and local requirements.
Develop and implement safety and protection system for related equipments and electronics installations.
Provide input & Technical expertise in related Airport systems such as but not limited to:
1. Automation General Information Monitoring
2. Surface Movement Ground Control System (SMGCS)
3. MSSR
4. PSR Radar
5. Voice Communication and Control System(VCCS)
6. VHF_UHF Radio Systems
7. A Vehicle Tracking
8. Multi-Lateration
9. Inertional Landing System
10. Voice and Data Recording system (VDR)
11. Aeronautical Fixed Telecommunication Network (AFTN)
12. Aeronautical Message Handling System (AMHS)
13. ECAS
14. Runway Foreign Object Detection
15. Distance measuring Equipment (DME)
16. Departure Arrival Terminal Information System (DATIS)
RESPONSIBILITIES
To design and implement Aeronautical systems projects on International Airports, coordination with Technical specification Engineer and Chief Site supervision Engineer as per accepted International Standards and local requirements.
Develop and standardize technical specifications for electronics equipments, installations, testing and commissioning procedures and safety & protection systems in coordination with Technical specification Engineer.
To approve material and installation methodology, safety and protection systems and other site related issues in coordination with Consultants & PMs.
To monitor the performance of Contractors/Consultants and create a database of contractors and vendors suitable for various activities and duties.
To attend progress and site meetings. Call special meetings to resolve complex issues with concerned Units/end users.
Ensure continuous availability and proper usage of all systems used by various business units to sustain, improve and generate their business effectiveness and efficiency.
REQUIREMENTS
Past experience of working in Airport projects and Airport environment essential.
At least 10 years of experience in design and implementing Aeronautical systems and other Aviation related projects with Consultants and Airport authorities.
Command over with ICAO, GCAA, IATA, FAA and other International Standards and Codes of practice (Knowledge of local conditions and regulations essential)
Past experience in Project Management processes
