ENGINEERING - OPERATIONS MANAGER
Based in Dubai - experienced leader with strong engineering and project management background
Purpose of the job:
- Build and expand a corporate and operational presence to support clients in the Middle East and Africa region.
- Lead client acquisition initiatives and strengthen current and new client relationships.
- Identify project opportunities and lead proposal design and delivery.
- Drive strategy and business growth in the MEA region.
Candidate profile:-
The ideal candidate will have academic qualifications in an engineering discipline and will have a lengthy record of achievement in hands-on and leadership roles supporting engineering teams and projects in the Middle East and Africa. The candidate will have well-established relationships with senior decision makers in client companies across the region and be comfortable supporting both external representation activities, as well as operational responsibilities. As the senior representative in the region, the candidate must demonstrate an unwavering commitment to solid corporate values and professionalism, as well as best-in-class service quality and reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure performance against all operational and financial targets .
- Full P&L management responsibility.
- Establish corporate presence; ensure compliance with all local employment and business requirements.
- Support administrative functions, manage local corporate and project staff, implement corporate policies and procedures.
- Primary interface to corporate HQ leadership, as well as to local clients
- Define regional strategy to deliver business growth by growing and expanding the client base and project pipeline.
Actively lead proposal planning, drafting, delivery and support.
Deliverables include:-
- On target performance against defined revenue and expense goals
- Weekly reporting to HQ leadership, active engagement in project specific internal and local team meetings, project specific tracking reports, regular project or opportunity-specific client meetings and engagement
- Review and approval of all client-related proposals, budgets, work orders and invoices.
