The conference co-ordinator liases with speakers in the preparation for an event making sure that materials are submitted on time and that all speaker requirements are met at the events. Co-ordinators also manage speaker travel and accommodation requirements as well as close internal co-operation with producers. The ideal candidate will be highly efficient, enjoy communicating over the telephone and good at working to deadlines. Each co-ordinator manages up to five conferences each month making this role highly demanding. The role can be used as a training ground for conference production.
Qualities & Skills Required
Confident and accurate manner when dealing with telephone and written contacts
Ability to communicate with all levels of staff and to deal with customers, speakers and hotel venues face to face
Ability to work under pressure and at speed
Ensure prompt, accurate and sensitive handling of all information
Ability to meet deadlines with excellent organisational skills
Ability to work autonomously - responsible for handling own workloads and self motivated
