Our Client, Schema Management Group FZ LLC works for newly formed Project Management Team recently established to cater the needs of Contractors and private clients. They have already a number of projects in the Power industry in the region of the Gulf, based in Dubai.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

They are currently looking for a Claims Specialist / Consultant to join their expanding Planning team specializing in the field of arbitration and litigation support globally. The candidate will be working on a variety of claims, project planning and analyzing delay on major projects, as well as working with their clients on arbitration and litigation cases. He/she will be responsible to perform time delay analysis to support the claims.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have the following.
At least 10 years+ experience working on claims/delay analysis within a consultancy environment OR
At least 10 years experience working as a Planner on construction projects, ideally within a senior capacity.
Proficient with planning software as described below.
A relevant degree related to Claims, Arbitration, Contract Law or Construction.
Must be able to represent the organization well to their clients and able to win new business (will ideally have contacts within the industry, etc).
Knowledge of the Power industry is required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in the filed of either engineering or law degree.
He / she shall have at least five years of experience working with Primavera Suite products; strong communication (excellent writing and spoken) skills; and the ability to work with functional groups and external organizations.
Proven track record in the development and evaluation of claims, claims (claims analysis, quantification, delay analysis etc.). Ability to work independently, and negotiate claims with third parties.
Power industry experiences a must together with other industrial experience.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
Thorough knowledge of time delay analysis techniques, and methods of the industry. Familiarity with local laws and regulations as well with arbitration processes.
The position requires analytical skills and methodic approach in collecting data required to build claims. Proficient PC skills including a proficiency in various software used in the Project Controls Department, such as Excel, Primavera 5.0, proven ability to perform in a supervisory capacity, as well as a thorough knowledge of industry practices is required.
Ability to work independently in order to develop and support claims is a must.
