Job Description

Act as front-line interface to end-users, accepting system trouble and problem encountered reports.
Respond to requests for assistance with hardware and software problems; diagnose problems; repairs or arranges for the repairs or replacement of faulty hardware.
Installs and updates computer hardware, peripherals and application software packages.
Assisting users on the use of computer equipment and peripherals, software packages, web-based technologies, help desk systems and with newly acquired software applications.
Monitor operational performance and troubleshoot system problems, isolate the cause of system failures; perform procedures for preventative maintenance including system back up, recovery and equipment cleaning.
Performs administrative/regular maintenance of network and other IT infrastructure to provide efficient internet and other network services.
Examine computer threats (virus and spyware logs) regularly and maintain virus and spy ware free computing environment.
Email administration with Microsoft Outlook (user-level only).
Provides POS (Point of Sales)/Till technical support both hardware and software in shop floor.
Maintains inventory records of existing and newly acquired computer hardware and software, telecommunications, data communications, and web orientated Intranet/Internet equipment.
Secures availability of supplies particularly with computer peripherals and consumables such as toners and cartridges.
Provides basic telephone system support and maintenance or arranges second party support.
Perform daily full file and database backup
