Estimation Manager
Responsible for the estimation of turn-key projects as required by the clients.
Liaise with contracts managers, project managers and repair managers based at the Dubai office and will assist them in quotations and successfully winning projects.
Take inquiries from clients (verbal or written) and to carry out site surveys if necessary, this may require extensive travel when the contract is abroad.(minimal)
Estimate the labour/man hours required to construct pipe systems and large fabrications as well as estimating the purchase costs of materials including associated activities such as painting, NDT etc.
To accurately estimate the cost of material purchase and workshop fabrication in order to compile a quotation.
On award of contract, to arrange necessary labour and purchase materials to carry out the contract within the client time frame.
To manage the contract on site and in conjunction with the project manager to the satisfaction of the client and to observe the relevant health and safety regulations in force at the time.
Manage the Estimations department team members and setting of parameters for their work-setting and project KPIs
Demonstrate knowledge of appropriate materials for pipe system applications and associated components, including metallic and non-metallic materials.
Will be required to Read and interpret pipe system plans, general arrangements and isometric drawings in order to estimate the cost of manufacture.
To establish bills of quantity from drawings and site surveys.
Setting of deadlines, targets and goals for estimation team
Reporting activities and project updates in a weekly meeting
Required support for marketing and client visits in conjunction with the Technical Manager and Contract Manager.
Understand and review commercial & technical risks and ensure risks are mitigated during bid preparation.
Preparation and presentation of technical and commercial bids to the technical and Commercial manager for approval
