EXPERIENCED & INDEPENDENT TECHNICAL EDITORS FOR INTENSIVE FULL-TIME CONTRACT
Are you an experienced freelance technical editor looking for a stable, full-time contract?
Were building a team of talented, native English speaking editors working remotely from around the world for an intensive eight-month knowledge management project for a leading Middle Eastern energy firm starting in November. Successful candidates will edit a steady flow of technical processes and procedures for language, style, tone and sense, and then deliver them to a central project manager for feedback and approval on a daily basis.
To be considered for the position, the candidate must be:
A native English speaker
A talented and efficient technical English editor, ideally with experience writing and/or editing processes and procedures
Able to work independently to deliver clear, concise and error-free copy that consistently adheres to specified guidelines for style and tone
Adept at analyzing content to identify flawed logic and info gaps
Comfortable with oil & gas, business, engineering and other technical terminology
Committed to meeting tight deadlines, with exceptional organizational and time management skills
Goal and detail-oriented – ready to do whatever it takes to get the job done
Timeline & Duration:
Project launch in November
Eight-month contract
Possibility of ongoing role after contract completion
