Assist the Chef de partie and Shawarmate in performing cooking and food preparation as per the set recipes
Assist the Chef de partie and Shawarmate in planning the quantity of food to be prepared for the coming shift
Assist the Chef de partie and Shawarmate in preparing the dishes to be sent to guests as per set standards
Check with Chef de partie the list of all daily preparations, their priority, special tasks, etc.
Assist Chef de partie in setting up respective stations with the appropriate utensils and equipment, according to guidelines
Make sure that standard recipes are being applied at all times
Responsible for completing the mise-en-place of the workstation
Make sure that all items are recorded in the control wastage reports
Ensure that temperature records and food labeling are maintained up to date
Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
Clean and maintain station while practicing food safety, sanitation and organizational skills
Ensure cleaning, sanitation, and organization of designated kitchen section are done as per standards and checklists
Frequently check on respective sections fridge and freezers temperature and record them using the appropriate form
Make sure that all prepared food is stored in its appropriate container and labeled with product name, production and expiry dates and at the appropriate temperature
Make sure that fresh and dry products are being used and stored as per the FIFO procedure
Ensure that all equipment are kept clean and in excellent working condition
Help in any area of the Restaurant kitchen when circumstances dictate
