Title: Sales & Purchasing Manager for USA based steel trading company
They are looking for a highly self-motivated sales and sourcing manager that can handle their sales and sourcing needs from UAE.
They are a national distributor and service center in USA, and global trading firm, for prime, excess prime and secondary flat rolled products inclusive of cold rolled, hot rolled, galvanized, pre-painted, and tin mill products.
They are currently growing at a very fast pace, and are looking to build a team in UAE that can help grow with us.
This is a career opportunity, and they require individuals who are willing to grow with the company.
The primary function of this position is to find new sourcing opportunities, inspect material, assist in negotiation, and coordinate logistics/shipping of products. In addition, this position will also require the individual to make contact with existing accounts to increase sales as well as find new customers. Over time, they will promote this position to a more managerial position, and hire additional support staff to undertake the same responsibilities.
Compensation: This is open to discussion and negotiation based on mutual agreement. They are interested in a fixed salary compensation, plus commission for each ton purchased.
Required Skills/Experience: Qualifications/Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills (ability to read/write/speak English)
- Must be assertive, honest, and reliable while being result and goal oriented
- Must be self motivated, and have strong work habits and excellent work ethic
- Prefer knowledge of following software
o MAS 200
o SalesLogix
o Microsoft Outlook
o Microsoft Word
o Microsoft Excess
o Ability to surf the internet
- Prior experience in steel, metals, metallurgy not required, but strongly preferred
Minimum education: Bachelors Degree or higher in the following fields: Business, Economics, Finance, International Trade
Territory to be covered: Middle East
They are able to train, and teach but would prefer someone with steel background.
