Our Client is a UK based oilfield services equipment rental company, part of a well established PLC group operating globally.
As part of their strategy to support worldwide operations with regional hubs, they are establishing a base in Sharjah that will service their Middle East business & they wish to recruit / appoint a Base Supervisor / leading hand, who would be responsible for day to day operation of the facility.
The successful candidate would be responsible to the regional Sales Manager & would be offered full training & support for this key role.
With a good education, the successful candidate would have formal mechanical & electrical engineering qualifications, preferably with diesel engines, rotating machinery & ideally steam or boiler experience.
Offshore or any other oil & Gas industry experience would be a big plus.
The main skills required in the first instance would be good mechanical & electrical diagnostic / repair experience, plus an organized, hard working attitude, pleasant phone manner, ability to speak directly to clients & colleagues confidently & professionally.
The ideal candidate must also be computer literate, with a good standard of knowledge for outlook / email, Excel spreadsheets & other programmes as utilized, with full training & ongoing support.
They are ideally looking for a current UAE resident or visa holder with a current UAE Drivers license.
Candidates must also have a good understanding of spoken / written English & ideally Arabic or another localized language capability.
This role is a key appointment, with the opportunity to progress into staff supervision & management as part of a dynamic company, with big ambitions for the region.
Salary package is negotiable based on experience / qualifications & will reflect their desire to attract the best candidates
