Responsibilities and Duties

Duties

Design electrical systems under the direction of the lead engineer
Site meetings & client visits to understand the scope & requirements of the project
Research & review specifications to determine the most suitable equipment for the project
Working Conditions

Design work will be done in the office
Site visits will be required. Our clients are typically within a 20-minute drive, but some range
Field work will require the use of the provided personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety shoes/glasses)
Split between office & field work is estimated at 60/40 respectively
The core schedule is a 40-hour work week, with hours from 8am-4pm Monday to Friday but can be adjusted to accommodate flex time.
Qualifications and Skills

Graduate from an electrical design or engineering college or university program
Ability to solve problems, research information, and find answers independently
Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail, personable, works independently
Knowledge of CAD
Familiarity with the Electrical Safety Code an asset
Eligibility for a Professional Engineering is preferred
