Create and present fashion design concepts, sketches, and illustrations to clients and stakeholders. Research and analyze current fashion trends and market demands to inform design decisions. Collaborate with the design team to develop and refine design concepts. Working with buyers and forecasters, to develop products to meet a brief. Select appropriate fabrics, trims, and materials for each design. Create and manage technical specification documents for production. Oversee the production process to ensure quality and timely delivery of designs. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and attend fashion shows and events. Communicate and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, and other industry professionals. Ensure designs meet budgetary constraints and adhere to brand guidelines. Manage and mentor junior designers and interns. Well versed in latest designing software (Illustrator, Photoshop etc.). Keeping up to date with emerging fashion trends as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colour and shapes. Planning and developing ranges. Understanding design from a technical perspective. Readiness to multitask and should have a proactive approach.
