Greeting and Seating Guests: Welcome patrons as they enter and provide menus. Taking Orders: Assist diners in selecting menu items, take food and drink orders, and relay them to the kitchen or bar. Serving Food and Drinks: Deliver ordered items to the tables, ensuring accuracy and prompt service. Menu Knowledge: Be knowledgeable about the menu, including specials and beverage offerings, and be able to answer guest questions. Customer Service: Provide attentive and friendly service, check in with diners to ensure satisfaction, and address any concerns or special requests. Table Maintenance: Clear empty plates and glasses, reset tables for the next guests, and ensure a clean and organized dining area. Billing and Payments: Present the check, process payments accurately, and return change or receipts to guests. Team Collaboration: Work as part of a team, coordinating with kitchen staff and other servers to ensure smooth service. Upselling:Suggest additional menu items or specials to enhance the guest's dining experience and increase sales. Cleanliness and Hygiene: Adhere to health and safety guidelines for food handling and service, maintaining a clean and tidy appearance. Handling Cash and Tips: Safely manage cash and handle tips in accordance with restaurant policies.Assisting Senior Servers: Support more experienced servers and take on additional tasks as needed.
