Job Description

· Make sure everything in the store runs smoothly. · Receive goods from various suppliers and vendors. Store them appropriately (e.g. dry store, fridge, freezers and detergents store. · Ensure that all storage areas are well maintained and temperature is controlled according the nature of goods. Temperature gauges must be operational and calibrated. Arrange periodic/ emergency maintenance and keep records of all maintenance/ calibrations done. · Verify quantities received by the suppliers with purchase order and sign delivery notes. Send a copy of delivery note to the Line Manager and update quantities in the inventory control systems to reflect the latest position of the in-store stock. Deal with supplier for any discrepancies in the quantity, quality and brand of the goods received. Make notes and inform Line Manager. · Store/place goods in a highly organized and tidy manner for easy tracking and retrieval. Label al the racks/ shelves for identification. · Enter data and keep records of source of the goods (supplier name) date received, brand, date of expiry, etc. · Strictly adhere to FIFO (First-in First-out) rule for all the goods in storage and rotate goods on a regular basis to ensure FIFO. In case of goods having expired, move them to a specifically designated area and discuss with Line Manager for appropriate disposal. · Prepare and maintain stock inventories for various goods and materials in the store and submit daily stock report to the Line Manager. · Ensure cleanliness of store and comply with food safety and hygiene standards all the time. Make sure that anyone who enter stores follow food safety rules and wear necessary gear such as gloves, head net, shoe cover, etc. Use appropriate clothing while working in freezers. Use right tools and equipment to handle bulk packaging for safety. Ensure that adequate fire extinguishers are available and maintained. · Ensure to have regular treatment done for pest control etc. · Receive store requisitions from palaces (Executive Chefs, Housekeeping Supervisors) and issue goods as requested. Arrange delivery of goods to respective locations and collect delivery notes from the driver. · Enter issue records in the inventory system and update quantities. Continuously monitor inventory levels and raise Purchase Request immediately once quantities near minimum stock levels. · Immediately report concerns, issues, complaints to Line Manager for appropriate intervention. · Perform other duties as assigned by the Direct Manager.
