Permit to Work (PTW) systems are crucial for ensuring the safety of workers and preventing accidents in hazardous work environments. These systems are designed to control the risks associated with specific tasks, such as hot work, confined space entry, and electrical work. A PTW is a formal written document that specifies the work to be carried out, the hazards involved, and the precautions that need to be taken to mitigate those hazards. The Site Engineer – Work Permit Receiver (WPR) shall be responsible for initiating and completing all applicable sections of the work permit. Responsibilities Initiating and completing all applicable sections of the permit to work. Supervising the work prescribe in the permit to work to ensure it is conducted in the most efficient manner. Notifying the issuer of work progress and completion and ensuring that the site is returned to a safe and operational state. Providing and arranging all necessary resources related with performing the work, including standby man for confined space entry. Ensure personnel performing the work are inducted onto the site, informed of the hazards, risks and control methods, are competent to perform their allocated tasks and ensure that all personnel strictly adhere to the conditions of the Permit to Work. Ensure that the work is performed in a safe manner within the conditions prescribed. Taking adequate care to preserve the permit in good condition. Steel Fabrication Industry (Block & Precast)
