Job Family Definition

Local HR Services are Functional Specialists providing unique country expertise to deliver best in class customer experience across the employee life cycle while at the same time driving operational excellence to ensure compliance. Collaboration being at the core of the team success, acts as Global Service Delivery liaison between country and global teams, forming key partnerships with HR Directors, People Relations, TR and all other HR teams, corporate functions and external vendors. This partnership, acting as country subject matter expert is key for the successful implementation of new policies, services and tools.


The LHRS Consultant working independently in their role, utilising their unique country expertise, solid local HR policy, employment legislation, regional and process knowledge is responsible for delivering Local HR Services portfolio items either onsite or remotely acting as local subject matter experts. These activities include:


Key Responsibilities and Tasks


Employee Lifecycle Support

  • Evaluates and validates HR processes which require specific local HR policy or employment legislation expertise along the employees lifecycle, acting as local subject matter experts.
  • The Local HR Services delivers unique country support playing a fundamental local role:
    • Onboarding (New hire day 1 onboarding sessions)
    • Work and Life events (local HR policy validation of contractual changes and absence management, and benefits operations)
    • Offboarding (involuntary and voluntary end of employment).
  • Offers a broad 1:1 HR consultancy to our customers on local HR policies.
  • Ensures accurate knowledge and content management on all-relevant platforms are in place as well as SAP One updates for Local HR Services specific portfolio items.
  • Acts as a 2nd level case manager for local HR policy queries in a service orientated and compliant way.
  • Manages non digital employee files and HR documentation wet signatures in countries where it is a legal and/or language requirement.
  • Supports local regulatory activities to ensure country compliance.


SAPs Organizational Support

  • Support HR activities which relate to SAPs business development such as company restructurings, company code creation, and SAP location consolidation.
  • Takes a key role in M&A projects based on unique country expertise and manages post-Merger activities to support a successful integration.


Drives Process Improvement & Innovation

  • Continuously monitors SLAs, KPIs and customer feedback seeking ways to improve work and processes, assessing service efficiency, risks, utilization, and customer experience.
  • Takes a key role in the roll-out of new processes, tools and/or technology connected with Local Services Portfolio.
    • Work with project/ process owner on project scope, project plan, coordinate with IT on technology updates, testing, training, communication and change management to all stakeholders.
    • Take proper risk and issue assessment. Ensure project deadlines are met ensuring a quality output.


Partnership with other HR teams

  • Acts as a trusted partner and liaison with other HR teams, stakeholders, and vendors for the successful implementation and enhancements of new and existing local policies, tools, and processes as a country subject matter expert.
  • In exceptional cases may represent other HR teams who are not located onsite, where on-site HR presence is essential for compliance reasons (examples: wet signature documentation - in/voluntary termination notice, salary deduction; in-person SAP HR representation at government offices, embassies, etc.).


Experience & Educational Requirements


Experience & Language Requirements

  • 4-5 years working experience in HR, preferably in a multinational company in IT sector.
  • Local employment legislation knowledge essential.
  • Bi-lingual skills (English + Arabic).
  • HR experience in the following areas: staffing, benefits, compensation, employee relations, payroll and data maintenance.
  • Experience working within a customer orientated environment preferred.


Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.


Professional Training & Certification

HR certificate and technical skills certificate (MS Office)
