Job Description

Function

  • Ensure that all activities for which he/she is responsible, are carried out in conformance with laws and regulations, contractual requirements and the Project Management Plan. In particular health and safety of personnel, natural and working environment and equipment shall be taken care of.
  • Work with AIP commissioining team as well as client to ensure clear guidance and clarifications are provided with regards to scope of work and specifically for life extension activities of mechanical equipment.
  • Work with AIP operations team to assist Contractor to arrange for required condition assessment inspections by contractor and / or OEM.
  • Contribute to the preparation of project forecasts, schedules, costs estimate associated with the commissioning scope.
  • Commissioning strategies
  • Manage suppliers and other resources providing services and supplying materials or equipment for commissioning.
  • Ensure use of PIMS CMS and other relevant Project Completion tools.
  • Coordination of appropriate commissioning discipline resources with the skills to:
  • Witness contractor/supplier tests as necessary (MC-check/FAT/SAT)
  • Develop, review, and implement commissioning procedures.
  • Implement the commissioning scope.
  • Ensure a smooth transition from Project to Operations.
  • As required; set up and co-ordinate commissioning reviews, covering relevant discipline, to meet companys expectations.
  • Participate in pre-start-up and performance test reviews.
  • 1:1 conversation within team members on regular basis
Requirements

– Technical education on bachelor level or higher within Mechanical Engineering.
– Minimum 10 years of relevant experience within Mechanical package engineering discipline. Specific experience of commissioning is desired.
– Recent experience of working on modification projects and / or FSO redeployment is strongly desired.
– Recent experience of working on similar role on FSO redeployment projects will be an advantage.
– Strong leadership & interpersonnel skills applied to a multidisciplined project team
– Recent relevant experience in middle east / south east Asian shipyards is an advantage
– Diplomacy & assertiveness
– Organised, Systematic & Flexible
– English - fluent written and verbal skills
