Job Title: Head of Marketing / Marketing Director

Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (KSA)

Type: Full-Time

Reporting To: CEO


Role Summary

The Head of Marketing will define, lead, and execute the full marketing roadmap for the company’s e-commerce platform. This position plays a pivotal role in launching, accelerating, and optimizing the platform’s performance, ensuring brand coherence, measurable commercial outcomes, and executional excellence across all digital channels. As the first senior marketing leader, the role carries full accountability for marketing strategy, agency direction, and cross-functional integration.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Direction

  • Develop and steer the comprehensive marketing strategy for the e-commerce platform, from pre-launch to scale-up.
  • Establish marketing frameworks, operating guidelines, and best practices in coordination with IT, Commercial, and Operations.
  • Serve as the principal marketing authority for approvals, prioritization, and decision-making tied to platform strategy.

Brand, Acquisition & Performance Growth

  • Drive brand development, customer acquisition, and retention initiatives through performance-led digital marketing and social commerce.
  • Oversee the full digital performance mix including SEO, paid advertising, social media, CRM/email, and video-driven engagement.
  • Leverage creators, influencers, and partnerships to build credibility and broaden relevance among Saudi consumers.
  • Apply analytics to reduce CAC, enhance conversion, improve retention, and maximize marketing ROI.
  • Adapt brand messaging, segmentation, and channel strategy to Saudi consumer preferences, cultural nuances, and seasonal behaviors.

Content & Product Asset Management

  • Partner with IT and Creative partners to finalize product titles, descriptions, taxonomy, and metadata across curated and open SKU collections.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and SEO alignment across all product content.
  • Approve hero banners, category visuals, and UI assets across web, responsive, and mobile platforms (iOS/Android).

Campaign Execution & Agency Leadership

  • Coordinate alignment sessions with digital agencies and IT to ensure campaign timelines, creative assets, and platform deliverables are synchronized.
  • Manage end-to-end execution of marketing campaigns across all channels.
  • Direct agencies to prioritize high-performing and strategically significant products for the KSA market to maximize efficiency and impact.

Commercial Activation & Promotions

  • Utilize the Deal Page as a core sales-driving mechanic to showcase curated offers and bundles.
  • Ensure promotional creatives are optimized and repurposed effectively across the Deal Page and related placements.
  • Collaborate with Vendor Management & Trade (VMT) to align promotions, vendor funding, and commercial priorities within marketing plans.

Governance & Approval Authority

  • Own the final Vendor Pack sign-off, ensuring alignment with brand standards, commercial targets, and platform readiness.
  • Act as final gatekeeper for marketing assets, ensuring uniformity, quality, and strategic alignment.


Experience & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, with significant exposure to e-commerce, digital marketing, or omnichannel retail.
  • Proven experience launching an e-commerce platform from scratch, including content setup, performance campaigns, and go-live execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional collaborations with IT, Product, Commercial, and agencies.
  • Strong expertise in managing creative, media, and digital partners at senior level.
  • Experience in the KSA or GCC market preferred, with clear understanding of regional consumer behavior and e-commerce adoption.
