Job Description



Bachelors degree with a minimum of 5 years experience in sales and marketing
A minimum of 5 years experience with quality systems and quality management programs
A minimum of 3 years experience within manufacturing and/or the petroleum industry
Experience with a trade association, a plus
Understanding of product certification and quality assurance systems desired
Strategic selling skills to maximize program revenue and achieve better growth
Ability to apply technical and sales knowledge and policies in direct support to customers
Excellent customer relations and communication skills, required
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the oil, gas and certification industry ,expected
Ability to exercise experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Familiarity with database technology and MS Office applications required
Experience with web applications helpful
Proficient with the English language


Responsible for sales of APIs Certification Programs, which include the API Monogram Program, American Petroleum Institute Quality Registrar (APIQR), Individual Certification Programs (ICP), Engine Oil Licensing and Certification System (EOLCS), Training Provider Certification Program (TPCP) and API Witnessing Programs.
Gathers sales leads and converts them into new business
Creates sales quotations
Conducts sales follow-up and closure
Conducts program sales seminars to interested parties
Performs sales calls via telephone, in person and through direct mailing campaigns
Contributes to sales and marketing planning
Provides customer services activities
Supports the Sales and Marketing Manager
Coordinates with Program Assistants in the management of incoming applications
Maintains a program sales contact database
Attends industry events
Provides support as needed with the administration of the Self Supporting Programs Department projects
