We are currently supporting a well-established group in the agriculture, landscaping, and flower business in the search for an experienced Finance Manager to strengthen its financial leadership team.

Reporting to: CFO
Location: Middle East
Experience: Minimum 10 years
Key Responsibilities
Finance Operations & Governance
- Take full ownership of the finance function across the agriculture, landscaping, and flower activities.
- Ensure full adherence to all applicable financial, tax, and regulatory frameworks at both local and international levels.
- Oversee receivables and payables cycles, securing timely collections, accurate payments, and healthy cash flow.
- Establish and enforce credit management practices to reduce exposure and optimize working capital.
- Guarantee the reliability of the general ledger and ensure proper structuring and maintenance of financial accounts.
- Lead period-end closings (monthly, quarterly, annual) and ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Supervise fixed assets and investment property accounting, including depreciation, capitalization, and impairment reviews.
- Maintain detailed and compliant asset records throughout their lifecycle.
Financial Reporting & Audit
- Produce high-quality financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses.
- Ensure financial reporting complies with applicable accounting standards and regulatory obligations.
- Manage reporting cycles and coordinate internal reviews ahead of statutory deadlines.
- Act as the main point of contact for external auditors and oversee audit planning and execution.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning
- Drive the budgeting exercise in close coordination with operational and functional leaders.
- Develop rolling forecasts and regularly update financial projections.
- Track performance against budget and investigate deviations to support corrective actions.
Business & Performance Analysis
- Deliver insightful financial analysis to support management decisions.
- Monitor financial performance using KPIs and translate results into clear recommendations for leadership.
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop the finance team through coaching, performance management, and skills development.
- Promote collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the finance function.
Risk Management, Controls & Compliance
- Design and strengthen internal control processes to protect company assets and data integrity.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Coordinate audit activities and ensure effective implementation of audit findings.
Cost Control & Efficiency
- Identify efficiency gains and cost-saving initiatives across operations.
- Monitor expenditure trends and support initiatives aimed at improving profitability.
Strategic Finance Support
- Contribute to long-term financial strategy and business planning initiatives.
- Participate in strategic reviews, investment assessments, and risk evaluations.
Systems, Tools & Process Optimization
- Manage and enhance financial systems and ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Streamline finance processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and reporting capabilities.
- Support system implementations, upgrades, and digital finance initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in financial management roles.
- Strong command of accounting principles, reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Background in Big Four audit or consulting is strongly valued.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Solid experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Strong analytical mindset with sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
- Proven leadership skills and strong ethical standards.
- Ability to perform in fast-paced environments and manage tight deadlines.
- Clear and confident communication and presentation skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Postgraduate degree is an advantage.
- Professional certifications (CPA, CA, ACCA) are highly regarded.
