We are seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our global technology strategy and engineering execution.
🎯 Role Overview
As CTO, you will define and execute the long-term technology vision of Wavesapp, ensuring scalability, security, product innovation, and operational excellence.
This is a high-impact executive role requiring both strategic leadership and strong technical depth to scale a marketplace platform across multiple countries.
🛠 Key Responsibilities
🔹 Technology Vision & Strategy
✅ Define and drive Wavesapp’s technology roadmap
✅ Align technology initiatives with company growth and revenue goals
✅ Advise the CEO and leadership team on innovation, risk, and scalability
🔹 Platform Architecture & Scalability
✅ Design scalable, high-availability cloud infrastructure
✅ Ensure performance optimization, cybersecurity, and system reliability
✅ Oversee DevOps pipelines, CI/CD processes, and engineering best practices
🔹 Engineering Leadership
✅ Build and manage high-performing engineering teams (remote & regional)
✅ Establish engineering KPIs, quality standards, and delivery timelines
✅ Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and innovation
🔹 Product & Innovation
✅ Collaborate with Product and Operations to enhance user experience
✅ Drive continuous improvement and adoption of emerging technologies
✅ Lead data architecture and analytics capability development
🔹 Governance & Risk
✅ Ensure data protection compliance and cybersecurity standards
✅ Manage infrastructure budgeting and cost efficiency
✅ Prepare technical readiness for scaling and potential investment rounds
📌 Qualifications
🔹 10+ years in software engineering, including 3–5+ years in senior leadership roles
🔹 Experience in startups, digital marketplaces, booking platforms, or mobility sectors
🔹 Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
🔹 Deep knowledge of scalable architecture, APIs, and distributed systems
🔹 Experience leading remote or distributed engineering teams
🔹 Strong business acumen and executive-level decision-making capability
