Applus+ has been shortlisted to bid for the Northern Green Substation Project in Jordan, financed by the EBRD, and we have strong potential to be awarded this transformative assignment. We are seeking two exceptional professionals to join our team for this landmark project that will revolutionize Jordan's renewable energy integration.

The Project

Construction of a state-of-the-art 400/132/33 kV transmission substation in Mafraq Governorate (Jordan) as part of the Eastern Green Corridor Project.

Impact:

• Enable integration of 270 MW renewable energy capacity
• Eliminate 300 GWh of curtailed renewable generation annually
• Reduce 208,430 tonnes of CO₂ emissions per year
• Cut transmission losses by 20%

Duration: 41 months | Start: Q2 2026 | Full time roles

Positions Available:

1. PROJECT MANAGER / TEAM LEADER (Key Expert)

Commitment: 30 man-months

Required:

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• 25+ years in HV transmission systems design and construction supervision
• 8+ years as Project Manager/Team Leader on similar projects
• Proven EBRD contract experience (essential)
• Experience with IFI-funded projects
• Fluent in English (Arabic is an asset)

2. HV PROTECTION & CONTROL SYSTEMS EXPERT (Key Expert)

Commitment: 12 man-months

Required:

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• 15+ years in HV protection, control systems & SCADA (110 kV+ substations)
• Experience with 400/132/33 kV transmission infrastructure
• Knowledge of international standards and EBRD requirements
• Fluent in English (Arabic is an asset)
