1. You will have to do commissioning, organizing and assessing the work of contractors;
2. You will have to work with detailed diagrams, plans and drawings.
3. You will have to use specialist computer-aided design (CAD) software and other resources to design the systems required for the project.
4. You will have to manage and forecast spend, using whole life cycle costing techniques, ensuring that work is kept to budget
5. You will design site-specific equipment as required
6. You will oversee and supervise the installation of building systems and specifying maintenance and operating procedures.
7. You will monitor building systems and processes.
8. You will make decisions about expired systems equipment and the appropriate location of new equipment.
9. Liaising closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, builders, architects and surveyors, and in-house project teams.
10. You will attend a range of project group and technical meetings
11. You will ensure that the design and maintenance of building systems meets legislative and health and safety requirements
12. You will work on a variety of projects within a short period of time.
