Job description overview for Mechanical Engineer :
Manage and run a new workshop, dealing manly in Caterpillar equipment : (Bulldozers, Excavators, Dumpers, Loaders ) in Northern Sudan. As the Workshop Manager you will be responsible for setting up the workshop and supervising the day-to-day operation and performance of the workshop.
Job description tasks:-
1. Set up the workshop.
2. Train, coach and supervise a team of 5 Mechanics.
3. Trouble shoot and diagnose malfunctions in machine and engine systems along with their components.
4. Analyze maintenance trends and develop strategic plans for life cycle management of all assets. This includes setting up a preventative maintenance schedule as well as closely managing the spare parts inventory.
5. Ensure high quality workmanship.
6. Communicate verbally and in writing with senior management.
7. Prepare and monitor the maintenance budget.
