Duties:-
The surgeon meets with patients to discuss their medical conditions or reasons for wanting reconstructive surgery. He acquires and analyzes patients medical histories to determine the medical procedures to use and to check for allergies and pre-existing health conditions. The plastic surgeon also examines patients and determines if there are any surgical risks. He performs preoperative treatments including administering sedatives. The surgeon also performs reconstructive surgery to change the size, shape or appearance of body parts and establishes postoperative treatments, such as changing wound dressings.
