Our Client is seeking to hire an Oracle DBA 9i, 10g to join their team.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for logical and physical database design and maintenance in production and non-production environments. He will be responsible for performance, tuning, and security of all databases in all environments and will work with application developers to design and optimize SQL.
FUNCTIONS:
- Works with application teams to design and build databases, database objects, and optimized SQL.
- Install, configure and manage Oracle databases 8i, 9i and 10G.
- Conducts routine database/OS administrative tasks including the following: Backup and Recovery, Data imports/exports, SQL Optimization, Database Tuning, Database/OS Patching, Open/Manage Service Requests with Database/Hardware Vendors
- Proactively prevents production incidents through daily monitoring and review/verification of the database environment and scheduled database jobs.
- Recommends, develops, and implements procedures to ensure integrity, security, and privacy of the corporate database. Manages database security through user administration and granting correct roles and privileges.
- Performs 24x7 support for production systems.
- Creates, maintains, and enforces corporate database standards, procedures, and documentation.
Education Required:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in computer science, computer information systems, or management information systems.
Oracle DBA certification preferred.

Overview A Principal in IG Advisory builds strategic, long-term accounts to manage and develop the information governance business within those clients. In addition to the sales and business development responsibilities, Principals are also expected to lead engagements, be highly-involved in practice leadership, driving thought and solution development, oversee management of their practices and mentor consultants who report to them. The Principal will sell and lead engagements across the portfolio of IG Advisory including: Information Governance assessments, strategies, roadmaps, organizational design and program design and implementation spanning the disciplines of records management, law, privacy, information security and information technology Content Classification and ROT remediation of paper and electronic content (both unstructured and structured sources) including providing these as managed services Records Retention Schedule development and records management policy and program development Iron Mountain Policy Center Solution and business partner software Staff Augmentation Responsibilities Include: Sales Meets or exceeds assigned booking and revenue targets by supporting sales partners in seeking out and identifying new information governance revenue opportunities at existing and potential clients Develops and delivers insightful, value-added proposals that address complex client issues Partner with other internal leaders across Iron Mountain capability areas to design and sell information governance programs Develop new client relationships through various means with support from Iron Mountain sales and executive teams Delivery Build and maintain sustainable client executive relationships through high-quality delivery; ensure results, exceed client expectations, and be a trusted advisor and partner Manage scope, risks, results, schedule and profitability to deliver successful projects Deliver C-level presentations, driving actions and decisions Coach and develop junior consultants through on-the-job training Practice Leadership Oversee the management of their practice, including: utilization, deliverable acceptance, invoicing Support the leadership and development of our people through people management and training Develop our business by applying experience and topical knowledge to thought leadership and offering development Communicate and market thought leadership via broader sector forums, such as speaking engagements, trade publications, and other print media Partner with other internal leaders to grow the Iron Mountain brand Skills: Across the IG domains of records management, privacy, security, information technology and eDiscovery/legal hold, on a scale of 1 to 5, be at least a 3 in all and a 5 in oneAble to build multi-year Information Governance roadmaps across different Information Governance domains including records management, information technology, information security, privacy and legal hold Able to drive IG strategy through design, and implementation, acting as a trusted advisor to client cross-functional teams Understands modern enterprise information technology including enterprise content management, cloud, artificial intelligence/machine learning and database archiving. Hands on skills with tools for remediating redundant, trivial and obsolete data and content in enterprise applications and repositories Experience: Managed a minimum of $4-5 million/year in consulting/solutions services revenue, meeting established profitability and utilization targets Supported business development activities, providing responsible consulting delivery leadership in discovering and shaping opportunities, solution development, proposal generation, and deal closing stages Led consulting engagements, managing client expectations, and engagement staffing, issues and risks, contract change control, internal operational processes Developed Information Governance strategies Minimum Requirements: Minimum 7 years information management industry consulting experience Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience, plus JD, MLIS and/or professional industry certifications, such as Certified Records Manager (CRM), Certified Information Professional (CIP), Information Governance Professional (IGP), or MLS (Master of Library Science) is preferred #donotpost Category: Sales Iron Mountain is a global leader in storage and information management services trusted by more than 225,000 organizations in 60 countries.
