The role:-


- Office Management: Maintaining the office environment at its normal high standards. This involves managing and negotiating with suppliers (Rent a Car, Telecoms, Utilities, groceries, office supplies) and liaising with Head Office in London. You will be responsible for managing the petty cash and the monthly reconciliations. You will also be in regular touch with clients for credit control for outstanding invoices within the Middle East region. This will involve visiting client offices and the bank on a regular basis.



- Team Administration: You will support the team with any travel arrangements for client meetings (booking flights, arranging visas) and running various reports as requested. Coordination and support with other departments including sales, editorial and marketing to maintain and file administration documents, policies and relevant paperwork.



- Front-of-House: Managing the reception desk to ensure that all our clients, suppliers and colleagues are greeted in a friendly and professional manner. You will also represent the company at Tecom, fulfilling PRO (Public Relation Officer) duties.

Event Management Assistant

From an initial start with B2B IT titles, it has grown its range to include industry, oil & gas, construction and finance. For the last five years, it has also published in the consumer space, bringing globally important brands to the regional market.
Privately owned by its founder, CPI has grown organically from a single title to its current stable of over 25 titles, over 20 web portals, over a dozen awards ceremonies and numerous b2b events and conferences. Aggressive expansion plans mean more will follow in the next two years.

We are now looking for an Events and Marketing Coordinator to join our events team at our office in TECOM implementing over 40 successful events each year. As Events and Marketing Coordinator you will report to the Events and Marketing Manager assisting with each event to ensure they run smoothly for our attendees and clients.
Your duties will include -

- Confirming delegate attendance over the phone and via email
- Coordination of speaker and sponsor deliverables
- Coordination of venue set up
- Coordination of suppliers
- Sourcing new venues and suppliers
- Facilitating deals with companies for gifts, prizes and giveaways
-Be present on site at each event to manage attendees

We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic new member of the team who is able to work alone and use their own initiative as well as take instruction from senior management and high level management. Working in events does mean that on the day of an event you may be required to work outside of our usual working hours of 9am-5.30pm, however we do provide time in lieu. Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills (written and spoken English), experience is not necessary as training and support will be provided however, experience in administration and events would be beneficial.

Purpose of the role

- Sells via personal contact at the customers place of business.
- Works very closely with appropriate teams within Thomson Reuters internationally to ensure that there is a co-ordinate approach.
