Accountant – Travel & Tours

Position Overview:

The accountant plays a key leadership role in managing the financial operations of our Travel & Tours company. This position ensures accurate accounting, compliance with industry-specific regulations, proper handling of travel-related financial transactions, and preparation of financial statements to support decision-making. The role requires strong knowledge of travel agency billing, supplier reconciliations, IATA processes, and cost control.


Key Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Maintain the general ledger, ensuring timely and accurate posting of all transactions.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Analyse financial data and provide insights to management on revenue, expenses, and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and organisational policies.


Travel Industry Accounting

  • Oversee IATA accounting, including reconciliation of statements and settlement files.
  • Monitor supplier (airlines, hotels, DMCs, car rentals) invoices and reconcile balances.
  • Validate tour packages, ticketing revenue, commissions, refunds, voids, and cancellations.
  • Track client and corporate bookings, ensuring accurate invoicing and revenue recognition.
  • Manage travel vouchers, credit notes, and prepaid expenses.


Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Oversee timely settlement of supplier payments.
  • Ensure accurate billing to customers and timely collection of receivables.
  • Review and reconcile credit card transactions, travel cards, and bank receipts.


Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor operational costs associated with tours, ticketing, and travel services.
  • Recommend improvements to reduce costs and optimise profitability.


Audit & Compliance

  • Coordinate with external and internal auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations, VAT, and tourism-related statutory requirements.
  • Maintain proper documentation for tax filings and corporate regulatory audits.


Process Improvement

  • Streamline accounting workflows to increase accuracy and efficiency.
  • Implement internal controls specific to Travel & Tours operations.
  • Support automation or integration of accounting systems with booking engines/GDS (e.g., Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre).


Team Leadership

  • Supervise junior accountants and finance staff.
  • Provide training and guidance on travel industry accounting processes.
  • Review team work to ensure accuracy and compliance.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/ACCA preferred).
  • 4–7+ years of accounting experience; minimum 2 years in the Travel & Tourism industry highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of IATA processes and travel supplier accounting.
  • Experience in tax audit preparation and report experience (mandatory)
  • Currently, in the UAE is mandatory


Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, SAP, Oracle).
  • Familiarity with GDS systems (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo) is a plus.
  • Strong Excel and financial analysis skills.

    • Ability to manage deadlines and handle high-volume transactions.
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Integrity and strong ethical standards.


    Work Environment

    • Office-based role with potential coordination with ticketing, reservations, operations, and sales teams.
    • May involve occasional after-hours work during month-end or peak travel seasons.

    Job Summary:

    We're looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Bids & Proposals Specialist to join our growing proposals team. This role will support the full proposal lifecycle, working closely with a Proposal Manager and Proposal Specialist to develop high-quality, compliant, and competitive submissions in response to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Support the end-to-end proposal process, including reviewing RFPs/RFQs/RFIs, developing proposal schedules, and coordinating inputs from internal teams
    • Analyze procurement documents (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs) to identify compliance requirements, deliverables, and evaluation criteria
    • Develop clear, compelling proposal responses (technical, pricing, and administrative sections) in collaboration with subject matter experts and stakeholders
    • Ensure proposals are compliant, complete, and submitted on time in accordance with all client and formatting requirements
    • Write, edit, and format proposal content to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with client needs and company capabilities
    • Maintain and continuously improve a library of reusable proposal content, templates, and standard company information
    • Track proposal progress and communicate status updates to leadership and project teams throughout the bid lifecycle
    • Participate in bid/no-bid discussions, providing input on risk, competitiveness, and resource requirements
    • Support pricing strategy development by coordinating with relevant teams
    • Conduct post-submission follow-ups and debriefs to capture lessons learned and identify process improvements
    • Monitor industry trends and procurement portals for new opportunities and evolving client requirements
    • Collaborate across departments to ensure cohesive, high-quality, and competitive proposals


    Qualifications & Requirements:

    • Experience supporting or managing proposals, bids, or similar business development activities
    • Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills
    • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Comfortable working cross-functionally with technical and leadership teams
    • High attention to detail and strong compliance mindset
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Primavera, Illustrator and proposal management tools (preferred)

    Program Delivery Manager — Unity Skills Development Programs (UAE, Contract Position)

    The opportunity

    Unity is expanding its Skills Development Programs (SDP) across the Middle East , and we're hiring a Program Delivery Manager (Contract) based in Abu Dhabi to lead delivery and regional execution.

    As part of Unity's Customer Success organisation, the SDP team designs and delivers strategic upskilling programs that develop local talent, support economic diversification, and grow sustainable digital ecosystems. These programs are delivered in close partnership with government entities, academic institutions, and industry, aligning Unity's real-time 3D tools and training with national transformation and workforce development agendas.

    This role offers a unique opportunity to help shape Unity's long-term impact in the Middle East, supporting national skills strategies and empowering the next generation of creators, developers, and technologists.

    What you'll be doing

    • Lead the delivery and operational execution of Skills Development Programs across the Middle East.
    • Act as the regional owner for program delivery, coordinating with Unity's global teams across Customer Success, Education, Sales, and Product.
    • Partner closely with government stakeholders, public-sector entities, universities, and industry partners to deliver high-impact training initiatives.
    • Localise global program frameworks to meet regional priorities, cultural context, and language requirements.
    • Oversee program governance, timelines, risks, and reporting, ensuring high-quality delivery against agreed KPIs.
    What we're looking for
    • Proven experience delivering large-scale training, education, or workforce development programs, ideally in partnership with government or public-sector organisations.
    • Strong program delivery and operations capabilities, including stakeholder coordination, execution, and reporting.
    • Experience working in the Middle East, with an understanding of public-sector, education, or national skilling initiatives.
    • Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written) is required.
    • Ability to operate effectively in complex, multi-stakeholder environments, balancing local needs with global program goal

    • Experience with real-time 3D, gaming, simulation, digital twins, or interactive media.
    • Familiarity with government-funded education, employment, or digital transformation programs in the UAE or wider GCC.
    • Experience scaling programs across multiple institutions, regions, or cultural contexts.

    Role Description

    This is a full-time, on-site Storekeeper role located in Ayn al Basha. The Storekeeper will handle daily inventory management tasks, including receiving, organizing, and tracking materials. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate inventory records, overseeing the packing and unloading of products, ensuring proper storage practices, and operating forklifts when necessary. Efficiency, attention to detail, and an ability to ensure an organized and functional storage environment will be essential to this role.


    Key Responsibilities

    Receive, inspect, and record all incoming raw materials, spare parts, and finished goods.

    Issue materials to production and other departments according to approved requests.

    Maintain accurate stock records (manual and/or system-based).

    Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of materials.

    Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.

    Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and report shortages.

    Ensure compliance with safety, cleanliness, and warehouse procedures.

    Coordinate with procurement, production, and finance teams.

    Prepare inventory reports as required by management.


    Required Qualifications

    Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.

    Certifications in Storekeeping / Inventory Management are an advantage.

    Experience

    At least 8 years of proven experience as a Storekeeper or Warehouse Officer.

    Previous experience in manufacturing environments is mandatory.

    Experience in plastic, blown film, or industrial manufacturing is a strong advantage.


    Knowledge Requirements

    Inventory control systems and stock management practices.

    FIFO / LIFO methods.

    Basic procurement and material handling procedures.

    MS Excel and basic computer skills.

    Understanding of warehouse safety standards.

    High attention to detail and accuracy.

    Strong organizational and time management skills.

    Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
