5.1 BASIC FUNCTIONS: • Provides or assists with general basic and advanced life support emergencies to patients who are critically ill or injured and transfers them to other health care facilities with other medical team members, and assumes responsibilities for the operation and maintenance of equipment/ consumables of the ambulance to ensure readiness at all times. • The Paramedic is a critical role within the Dubai Corporate Ambulance Service, responsible for providing high-quality pre-hospital emergency medical care to patients in various settings. The Paramedic will work as part of a dynamic team, responding to emergency calls, assessing patient conditions, and delivering appropriate medical interventions..
5.2. SCOPE: • Provide high-quality pre-hospital advanced life support including assessment, triage, and treatment additional comprehensive patient assessment & invasive care as per the DCAS policies, procedures & clinical practice guidelines. • Work is performed on any shift, as required. • Hours are as assigned and may include on-call. 6. PRINCIPLE DUTIES • Demonstrates and ensures knowledge, understanding and compliance with Dubai ambulance policies and procedures • Ensures that the ambulance and equipment are ready for use at the beginning of the shift and after every call. • This includes appropriate cleaning and disinfecting of the interior and exterior of the ambulance. Checklist of the ambulance and equipment and coordinate with the transport team to ensure routine maintenance. • Performs daily inspections of ambulance consumables checklist.
