Planning Engineer

Job duties and responsibilities

  • Capable of preparing the Baseline Program based on the requirements of the contract and preparing method statements to accompany the Baseline Program.
  • Capable of preparing various schedules based on the Baseline Program, such as: Submittals & Approvals Schedule, Materials order placing schedule, Subcontractors Appointment Schedule, Resources histograms, Cash flow curve, Progress curve, Major plant schedule.
  • Capable of maintaining and recording site progress on a regular basis and updating the Baseline Program accordingly.
  • Ensuring the timely appointment of subcontractors and materials suppliers in accordance with the control schedules.
  • Maintaining ‘as built’ records of planned vs. actual site progress and preparing 15/30 day ‘look ahead’ programs.
  • Contributing to EoT claim preparations – with delay analysis and supplementary documents preparations, under the guidance of the Planning Manager/Sr. Planning Engineer.
  • Earned Value Tracking through cost loaded program.
  • Ensuring compliance with the agreed program and coordination schedules by all parties, particularly where such schedules are concerned with the flow of submittals/approvals and information requirements.
  • Following-up and participating in meetings with subcontractors.
  • Coordinating and integrating subcontractors’ programs within the baseline programme and ensuring compliance with the program requirements.
  • Capable of preparing progress and productivity reports.
  • Capable of taking/arranging site photographs as site progress records when required.
  • Advising the Project Manager of progress shortages to activities for corrective action.
  • Co-ordinating and following-up with other departments, as delegated by the Planning Manager/Sr. Planning Engineer

Our client provides advanced treatment to individuals with complex medical rehabilitation needs from the time of injury or illness through to long-term community follow-up.

Weekly working hours are 48 hours; 4x12 shifts (mix of day and nights).
